About the Department

The department of Information Technology, started in 1999, with its consistent team of faculty members offers a sound program in UG level. The curriculum is a blend of basics and advanced topics which covers the growing needs and changing trends of the software industry and research activities. State-of-Art computing facilities are provided in the laboratory. They symbolize the cutting edge technology available in our college. The servers which support the LAN, also provide a Linux/Unix environment, with 24 hrs Internet facility. Our graduates have distinguished themselves in higher studies at top Universities abroad. They occupy positions of eminence in the IT industry. We have regular contact with our Alumni and they also contribute to the development of the department.

The graduates of our programme will:

  • Develop the talent to analyze the requirements, identify with the technical specifications, design and provide novel engineering solutions and fabricate efficient product designs.

  • Be skilled to apply basic and contemporary science, engineering, experimentation skills to make out software/hardware problems in the industry and academia and provide practical solutions to them.
